Read in the press recently – don’t know if true – that Apple’s guarantee for the Iphone (or perhaps all Apple products) is only valid at temperatures between 0 and 35 degrees.

If true astonishing, and how many buyers when purchasing are aware of this?
Does anyone know the legal position? Seems to me that Apple in their treatment of customers are becoming more like Microsoft everyday!

What do all you guys do- do you hibernate the phone during the cold weather?

    Press = lies for publicity

    “Environmental requirements
    Operating temperature: 32° to 95° F
    (0° to 35° C)
    Nonoperating temperature: -4° to 113° F
    (-20° to 45° C)”

Rekommendations.. all tech works the same way

Well, it’s perhaps not a lie as you quote the figures yourself, or have I misunderstood something?

yeah I did, I also quoted these, that are beyond those you posted.
    Nonoperating temperature: -4° to 113° F
    (-20° to 45° C)

Why would they do that then?

it’s a RECOMMENDATION, all phones have them..

    So what is the conclusion

Don’t buy an Iphone for use in the wintern months becase if/when the screen crakcs the guarantee aint valid.

According to IF insurance the largest number of claims come from Iphone users.
So for other phones, it seems not to be aproblem but for Iphones, it is a big problem becasue Apple won’t honour the guarantee!
    Yes, or no?????
