Hey All,
I posted on here a few days ago about a problem I was having unlocking an iPhone 4 that I brought to Sweden from the US. It was locked to AT&T, but I used jailbreakme.com and ultrasn0w to make it work w/ Telia. Since getting that to work using a friend’s SIM, I got my own plan from Telia that includes a data plan (i.e., mobil surf). I can make phone calls w/ it and send SMS messages, but I can’t surf the Interwebs or send MMSs.
I used the info from here to make the Cellular Data Network (i.e., Mobilt Datanätverk) button visible in the Network settings page by editing AT&T’s plist XML file w/ iFiles. (Stupid AT&T!) Then, using the info I got from Telia, I updated the APN and the MMS APN. Specifically, I used the following:
APN: online.telia.se
Username:
Password:MMS APN: mms.telia.se
Username:
Password:
MMSC: http://mmss/
MMS Proxy: 193.209.134.132:80No joy 🙁 I can’t surf and can’t send MMS messages. I’ve seen that others are using these same settings. I’ve tried others too (e.g., different username/password, IP address, port, etc.), and I’ve tried rebooting after making the changes. Nothing works.
Any ideas?
TIA!
Sounds strange, it should work with the settings above. Do you have any 3G-connection?

Ya, 3G is working.
I think the best solution is to go to a nearby Telia-store and describe the problem. They should locate the problem a lot faster.

I don’t think it’s the settings. Today, I compared my phone’s settings against my brother-in-law’s Swedish iPhone 4 screen by screen. Everything was the same. I paid extra attention to the APN settings. It was exactly as his working, Swedish iPhone 4. I think there’s something preventing it from using those settings.
Could this be possible?
