    Hi All,

I just moved to Sweden and want to use my iPhone 4 that I got in the states. I was able to jailbreak it using jailbreakme.com and have installed AutoSn0w. However, when I put a Telia SIM in it, I get “No Service” in the status bar of the phone (after some time). I’ve tried a number of things, but nothing seems to be working. Specifically, I’ve tried these:

    • Connecting to iTunes w/ Telia SIM in the phone
    • Connecting it to iTunes w/ AT&T SIM in and then putting the Telia SIM in
    • Reseting network settings (General > Reset > Reset Network Settings)
    • Putting the phone in airplane mode for 10 seconds, rebooting it, and taking it out of airplain mode
    • Disabling 3G

None of these things have worked. Any suggestions on what else to try?

    Version: 4.0 (8A293)
    Carrier: AT&T 7.0
    Model: MC608LL
    Modem Firmware 01.59.00

    TIA!

Typo. I meant ultrasn0w. Double checked. Version 1.2 installed. Doesn’t work though. Any other ideas?

Are you sure that your telia card has been activated ?
if you can try borrowing a card from a friend that has microsim that works for sure.

    Yes. Positive.

The one I was using was from brother-in-law’s Swedish iPhone 4, so I know it’s good.

    Please keep the ideas coming.

That did it. There were no updates; however, after I installed ultrasn0w the first time, cydia said I needed to update libxml or some other lib. Reinstalling must have picked that up this time.

    Many, many thanks!

You should always after jailbreaking install all the updates first, reboot and then install programs from cydia.

    BTW welcome to the community.
